Writer's Workshop....

You are in the future. What would you tell your 20-year old self?

There is little that I regret. Everything adds together to make the outspoken, confident, happily married and amazingly blessed woman I am today. What I would say is, how does that saying go... Do not make someone your priority who makes you their option. There is a guy who really does exist who would never, ever make you cry. He would give his life to save yours. He will be an amazing father. Those nights where you stared up at the stars and wondered if your true love could see the beautiful sky? Well, he can, and he is wondering the same thing about you. He is everything a real man should be and he is all yours. Keep your head up through the upcoming long string of giant losers, because the light at the end of the tunnel is better than you could ever, EVER imagine.

5 Years!

This month marks the 5 year anniversary of when I met my husband. Isnt love amazing? I am thankful every day for him. People always say.."just wait until (1 yr, 2 yrs, 5yrs, 10 yrs etc.) then the romance will be gone and you will be glad when you are away for a few days". Doubt it... I got the most awesome man in the whole world who understands me and loves every bit of me. Wouldnt trade that in for anything :)

South Park

I just saw the new South Park episode which is creating all of the buzz because they had Mohammed in a bear suit. Some radical individuals made some veiled threats against South Park founders Matt Stone and Trey Parker because of this. The fact that these people are being threatened for this really gets me going. What is it going to take for the world as a whole to live and let live? Is the fact that the founder of your religion was portrayed in a bear costume in a cartoon really worth shedding blood over? We have no control over what other people do... only our response to it. Like all good mothers should say... just ignore them and they will go away! But really, I respect and admire Stone and Parker for including Mohammed in that episode despite knowing that some people would get upset. That is standing by their own convictions despite sometimes frightening and angry opposition. That is worthy of all the respect and admiration in the world.

I've Returned

I have not posted on here in a while. Life is good! I have gotten into yoga class and I love it. I have had a very busy year at work. And I am married to the greatest man in the whole wide world....mwa! Now life is all about working hard so everything else falls into place. I was in a writing class last month. Much of it was very huggy-feely-granola-eating-fuzziness. But, it was very interesting that people wanted to see more of my writing.

Tim McGraw

I am sure most people have seen the viral videos of Tim McGraw kicking out male fans for being abusive to women at his concerts. I have to say how cool it is that he is willing to stop his whole show because of men being disrespectful to women. When I was watching this video with my husband and mentioned how cool that is, he just said "absolutely, any man should do the same thing". Faith Hill is one lucky lady, and so am I!

Amazing

It a country song, but true... one of god's greatest gifts is unanswered prayers. That said, I have to wonder why I even cared about certain situations in the past. When people proven them selves to be less than worthy and very destructive... why didnt I tell them to fuck off just as quickly? Oh well, lesson learned and not to be forgotten any time soon.
